Der Scena 5m ist ein fortschrittlicher PVR-ready Satelitten HD-Receiver. Er unterstützt mehrere Audio- und Videoformate und bietet ausreichende Anschlussmöglichkeiten für weitere Geräte wie USB-Stick, MP3 Player und Computer. Er ist ein perfekter multimedia-home Player der das Abspielen von Filmen in meheren Formaten wie MPEG4, MPEG2, sowie von Musik (MP3) und von Bildern (jpeg) ermöglicht.

Das Produkt unterstützt einen gemeinsamen Schnittstelleneingang und einen Smart-card Eingang für ein optional integriertes Conax CA System. Es bietet eine umfangreiche Auswahl von Audio- und Videoschnittstellen wie SCART, Component Videokabel, Komposit Video, Stereo Audio, Digital Audio und HDMI.

Hergestellt um die neuen europäischen Vorgaben für Stromverbrauch zu erfüllen, bietet das Produkt einen "tiefen" Standby-Modus, wobei das Gerät einen Stromverbrauch von weniger als 1W während des Standby Modus hat.

Software Updates werden regelmäßig über Satellit (ASTRA 19.2`E) oder auf unserer Homepage veröffentlicht.

Das Produkt ist bereit den anstehenden HD+ Service im deutsch-sprachigen Raum zu unterstützen. Dies ist möglich durch ein Software Update und durch eine offizielle HD+ CI CAM fuer Legacy-Receiver.
